Found this review online of CallPlus based in Auckland...
What do you like about working for this employer?:
Parking is handy being in the CBD. The Company has a good commission structure when you ACTUALLY close deals. Closing them is another matter.
Features and benefits:
Subsidised Internet, Free Parking, Petrol Allowance
What don't you like about working for this employer?:
CallPlus has been around for 16 years, but no one knows who they are or what they do. The company brand awareness is nil. No, correction. The company awareness is there, but it is all negative. The company burns its customers due to the extreme bad attitudes that the managers have in the service department. The manager for the service department, a bald guy called Kawana is lazy, does not give a shit. The Service delivery manager, Anna, is also a lazy one that doesn't care about the customer but only how much less she can do instead of doing the job for the customer. Both of them combined and you get a cluster fuck. This is one of the main problems. Multiple complaints have been made about these people yet nothing happens, they seem to be immune to any consequences despite their horrible attitudes towards internal and external customers.
What would you change about this employer?:
I would advise this employer to really look at their service department, this is the issue here. THe company has such a bad reputation that selling it is hard, and when you do sell, it hits you back in the face due to issues stated above. The company needs to reflect INTERNALLY and stop blaming sales guys for declining profits and revenue but instead look at their churn and lost customers due to the bad service. the customers would frequently report that it takes 8 days to get a response from any service persons.
What would you tell someone who is considering joining this employer?:
Go elsewhere, don't work for CallPlus. If you want to work in Telco - apply at vodafone or telecom. THeir building is nicer, their structures are better, their facilities are better and their systems and processes are sound. CallPlus, will sell you the job as if it is the best out there but really it is not. If You are in sales that is, if you are applying for a service role, then clearly, you will see it is very relaxed and you can get away with anything. So... it may be a good place to work if you do not care.
